Quasar Medical Announces Yosi Hazan as EVP Technology

Quasar Medical, a leading global contract manufacturer of high precision, minimally invasive medical devices names Yosi Hazan as the new EVP Technology.

David Ben-Shitrit who has served as Quasar’s EVP Technology for the past 6.5 years is establishing an independent R&D company. Quasar will continue to work with David on innovation projects.

Mr. Hazan effectively assumed the responsibilities as the new EVP Technology as of September 1st. Mr. Hazan will be leading all engineering activities; from concept design to process optimization including Semi Automation from Quasar’s Yokneam technology center in Israel.

Mr. Hazan holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Technion in Israel and brings extensive experience in R&D and Product Development.

Mr. Hazan’s previous position was with GE, serving as GM and Haifa site leader, leading all GE Point of Care (POC) ultrasound development.

Prior to his role at GE, Mr. Hazan was CEO of Trendlines Labs, a design and development company, launching several medical device start-ups.

Leading up to these roles, Mr. Hazan served as GM at Biosense Webster Israel and spent 10 years at KLA, a cutting-edge high-tech semiconductor company based in California and Israel.
